“What ‘cha got for me, Nard?” Kamille and Natacha make their way following Bernard to the basement of his three leveled home.

“What ‘chu need?”

“Just a few AK’s, a couple of pumps and some ammunition.”

“That’s it?”

“We have everything else covered.”

“I hear Scotty ‘did’ Los.” Bernard is a little reluctant to bring up the subject, knowing how close Kamille and Carlos were.

“Yeah, that’s the word.”

“I don’t know, Kami.”

“What’s do you mean, Nard?”

“That shit ain’t really Scotty’s style. He’s taken out uncountable mutha-fuckas, but never like that. Let me tell you something, if Scotty wanted Los gone, you would be too. Why would he leave you around? He knows how ‘down’ you are. Leaving you alive would only cause him conflict and he wouldn’t risk that. I hear the niggas that took out Los ain’t been found. Scotty wouldn’t send some half-ass niggas to do a ‘job’. That mutha-fucka deals with killers, Kami. Mutha-fuckas that’ll kill you and you wouldn’t even see they face. Gone before your body hits the ground.”

“All I know is that I heard them niggas tell Los that Scotty sent them.”

“Just don’t sound right to me.”

“I don’t know.”

“What ‘chu got planned, Kami?”

“What do you mean?”

“I know you want to avenge Los’ death. That’s what all the ‘tools’ are for right?”

“I don’t know what you’re talking about, Nard.” She lets go of a slight grin and stares into Bernard’s eyes. He grins back.

“Well, if you were thinking about going after someone, I’d tell you to be careful.”

“Of course.”

“And I’d tell you that I’m here if you need me.”

“Then I would say, thank you.”
